Registration Assistant Coordinator
Responsible for the determination of patient (family) eligibility for the Sliding Fee Discount and for the registration of new HealthWorks patients. Assists the patient in understanding how to navigate through the HealthWorks patient process. Works as a team member in a very fast paced, high energy setting.
Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Fluent English/Spanish skills required. Must have a positive work history of attendance and punctuality. Cultural competence and experience required. Ability to understand tax returns, bank statements, and pay stubs is required. Recent work experience in a health care setting preferred. Proficient computer skills and exemplary customer service skills required. Medical appointment scheduling, knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.
Prescription Assistance Program Coordinator
Responsible the procurement and tracking of free medications for qualifying patients, primarily as related to the Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) of pharmaceutical companies.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred. Recent work experience in a health care setting preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Typing proficiency of 40 wpm. Proficient computer skills required to include knowledge of Windows based programs. Must enjoy working with people and problem solving to help ensure high degree of satisfaction with the transition process. Fluent verbal and written bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. All staff are expected to function within a collaborative practice model, supporting the efforts of the other employees.
Responsible for assisting with and providing safe, consistent, and appropriate patient care support to providers. MA works as part of a nursing care team serving patients of all ages in a complete health care environment which includes dental, behavioral health, and nutrition care.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of a certified Medical Assistant program. Current CPR/BLS required. Minimum of one (1) year of family practice or pediatric clinical experience at an acute care or ambulatory setting required. Community health or public health experience preferred.
Behavioral Health Clinician
This position provides comprehensive behavioral health assessment, case management, consultation and individual and group support for a wide range of behavioral health issues in a community health center setting. This position functions as a core member of a collaborative care team that involves the patient’s primary care provider, consulting psychiatrists, nursing staff, other behavioral health providers and/or center staff.
Qualifications: Successful Master’s level education in a field such as social work or professional counseling; Current Commonwealth of Virginia behavioral health licensure required to include LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist strongly preferred. Two (2) years of experience working with clients in a community based setting preferred.
Medical Front Desk
Energetic and motivated Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team as a Front Desk Specialist! This position is responsible for patient customer service in a medical care environment.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Exemplary customer service skills required. Medical appointment scheduling, knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) required. One year of clinical office experience required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills required.
Certified Application Counselor
This position is responsible for providing education to patients and others about the Health Insurance Exchange Marketplace qualified health programs, as well as other programs such as Medicaid and Medicare, and helping to facilitate the submission of applications as appropriate.
Qualifications: Associate Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience required; Excellent computer skills required with knowledge of programs such as Excel; Excellent customer service and communications skills, ability to work independently and a positive history of work attendance required; Access to reliable transportation required; Must enjoy working with people and problem solving to ensure high degree of satisfaction with the delivery of services; Written and verbal English/Spanish fluency required; Recent work experience in a health care setting, knowledge of human services, community resources and community outreach preferred.
