Licensed Practical Nurse
Location: Leesburg and Herndon
Responsible for promoting health and wellness in the community through the provision of professional nursing care, including patient triage, direct patient care and patient education. Provides coordination of care, oversees the smooth day to day operations of the clinic floor as it affects the clinical staff and clinical services and provides direct supervision of his/her team of nursing staff.
Qualifications: Current Commonwealth of Virginia LPN License. Successful completion of a Licensed Practical Nursing program from an accredited institution. Minimum of two years clinical experience at an acute care or ambulatory setting preferred. Community or public health experience highly preferred. BLS required. English/Spanish fluency preferred.
Responsible for assisting with and providing safe, consistent and appropriate patient care support to providers. MAs work as part of our nursing care teams serving patients of all ages in a complete health care environment which includes primary medical, dental and behavioral health care.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of a certified Medical Assistant program. Current CPR/BLS required. Minimum of one (1) year of family practice or pediatric clinical experience at an acute care or ambulatory setting required. Community health or public health experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Medical Front Desk Specialist
Greeting patients, assisting and scheduling patient appointments. Noting time of arrival, time of scheduled visit, and reason for visit in electronic medical record. Verifying and updating patient demographic information at the time of the visit and advising the patient of any requirements or documents needed for the visit. Collects patient copayments for services. Monitoring patient flow through the clinic—from the waiting room, to the clinical staff and completion of visit. This includes working with nursing staff regarding late arrivals, no-shows and cancellations in order to optimize provider time. Functions as a patient advocate by being proactive in addressing patient needs and trouble shooting patient concerns. Strives to make each patient feel satisfied with the clinic services.

Registration Assistance Coordinator
Responsible for the determination of patient (family) eligibility for the Sliding Fee Discount and for the registration of new HealthWorks patients. Assists the patient in understanding how to navigate through the HealthWorks patient process. Works as a team member in a very fast paced, high energy setting.
Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a positive work history of attendance and punctuality. Cultural competence and experience required. Ability to understand tax returns, bank statements and pay stubs is required. Recent work experience in a health care setting preferred. Proficient computer skills and exemplary customer service skills required. Medical appointment scheduling, knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred. Due to patient population, bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.
Responsible for appointment scheduling for all centers, updating patient personal information and insurance verification using the EMH/EMR. The Central Scheduler works with the clinic staff to optimize the providers’ ability to serve patients. The Central Scheduler should also be able to efficiently maintain the operation of the LCHC registration, check-in procedures and the intake of patients.
Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree preferred. Recent work experience in a health care setting required.
