HealthWorks provides patients with comprehensive behavioral health services that are fully integrated with our primary health care program.
Working as part of the health care team, our behavioral health department offers a complete range of services for children and adults to modify behavior and develop skills to effectively manage emotional or behavioral difficulties. We help patients and families understand how to cope with medical, psychological and social issues. These challenges may include depression, anxiety, anger management, family conflict, parenting challenges, grief, work stress, isolation, eating disorders, divorce/separation or drug/alcohol use. We are committed to providing evidence-based treatment programs to address patient unique needs, giving them an applicable foundation on which to build healthy productive lives.
Our Behavioral Health Program services include:
- Mental and behavioral health counseling for pediatrics, adolescent, adults, and the elderly.
- Short term mental health counseling for individuals, couples, and families (parenting skills).
- Short term case management services and assistance with social determinants of health.
- Collaboration with school counselors and other community mental health providers.
- Depression, anxiety, and trauma screening.
- Substance abuse screening.
- Art therapy.
- Behavioral coaching (for example sleep, nutrition, movement, connection, relaxation)
- Referral to the Healthworks psychiatric provider as needed/desired for support with psychotropic medications.
- Choice of telehealth, phone, or in person sessions at one of our Healthworks sites.
- Spanish speaking counselor available.
HealthWorks’ behavioral health staff can help patients develop skills to modify behavior, such as losing weight or quitting tobacco, and skills to effectively manage emotional or behavioral difficulties.
