HealthWorks provides eligible patients with access to a Prescription Assistance Program.
Over 200 pharmaceutical companies have patient assistance programs that provide medications to uninsured people who have limited incomes. Almost 3,000 brand name medications are offered through these programs, most for the treatment of chronic diseases.
During calendar year 2021, HealthWorks provided 472 patients with 2,224 prescriptions free of charge. The retail value of these prescriptions totaled $5,234,190. The majority of these were for the treatment of conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and asthma.
When patients do not qualify for these pharmaceutical assistance programs we can help them by finding the lowest retail prices and by providing them with prescription discount cards.
